About JBL Music Academy
Becoming the artist you want to be requires knowledge, inspiration, contacts, and support. That is why JBL, Martin Garrix, and Benson Boone are launching JBL Music Academy: a place where 30 aspiring musicians, songwriters, singers, and producers learn from experts in the music industry and develop their sound. JBL Music Academy will launch in the fall of 2026.

If you meet the criteria below, you can apply:
- You are a musician who is 18 years or older
- You can travel to Amsterdam in October/November 2026 (if you need a visa, you must arrange this yourself – we can provide an invitation letter, but cannot assist with the visa process)

No - participation in the Music Academy is free. If you are selected, we also cover:
- Return flight from your country of residence to Amsterdam
- 4 nights accommodation in Amsterdam
- Food and drinks during the 4-day program at STMPD Studios, Amsterdam
- Full access to the Music Academy's program
We will go through the essentials to take your music to the next level - from creation to brand to business. For more information, take a look at the Program section.
This academy is designed for those who are at the beginning of their journey. You will need to submit a demo as part of your application.
All sessions will be held in English.
We welcome a wide mix of genres and talents - including singers, songwriters, producers, and instrumentalists.
The Academy is designed for aspiring artists, so we currently cannot accept applicants who are signed to a record label.
