HARMAN PRODUCT WARRANTY AGAINST DEFECTS

Warranty against defects:
Our goods (Products) come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian & New Zealand Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods (Products) repaired or replaced if the goods (Products) fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Harman Products are sold with warranty in compliance with Australian and New Zealand Consumer Law.  In rare circumstances where the Products are found defective you shall be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund determined by the Distributor.  Subject to the terms and conditions herein and Harman’s Warranty, the Distributor will repair or replace, without charge for any manufacturing defects that appear in Harman Products within the warranty period identified in the product table below, commencing on the date of original purchase.  You are entitled to have such defective Product repaired, replaced or a refund in accordance with your rights under law.  The benefits given to you by this Warranty are in addition to the other rights and remedies you may have under the applicable law and nothing in this Warranty purports to restrict, modify or exclude your legal rights as a consumer under the relevant Australian and New Zealand law.


Warranty Claim
Eligibility

1. This warranty applies only to products imported and distributed by Harman Distributors and sold to you within Australia or New Zealand. Except where an International Product Warranty has been provided with your Harman product, warranty service will only be provided in the specific country where the Harman product was originally purchased. For example, if you have purchased the Harman product within Australia, warranty service will be limited to Australia only.

2. This warranty is limited to defects that arise;

(a) in the course of normal domestic installation and use and

(b) within the warranty period identified for the product in the table below, commencing on the date of original purchase.

3. This warranty excludes

(a) defects arising from misuse, accident, neglect or improper care, fluctuation in electrical current, incorrect or failed software upgrade, damage or malfunction from incorrect assembly or installation, defects from alteration or modification, unauthorised service or repair;

(b) appearance of items such as cabinetry marks or damage, water or moisture entry or any pest infestation

(c) products on which the serial number has been defaced or removed; and

e) force majeure or natural causes

4. Distributor may elect between repair, replacement, or refund to honour this warranty, at its sole discretion.
